This was a project I started to do for myself and then reluctantly was persuaded to sell. It started life as a TDI but was fully stripped and rebuilt on a TD5 Defender galvanised chassis with TD5 rear tub (to fit the fuel tank in the rear) adding the engine and gearbox from an LSE Range Rover, uprating brakes and suspension to cope with the extra ‘oomph’.
